READING, Pa., September 27, 2007 - Today, Penske Truck Leasing celebrated the grand opening of a new facility in Milwaukee, Wis., located on 6719 South 13 St. The 15,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility, employing 28 associates, offers commercial and consumer truck rental services, full-service truck leasing and contract maintenance. About 75 leasing customers are handled at this 6.5-acre location and over 500 vehicles are maintained on-site.
The one-story building incorporates Penske Truck Leasing's new facility design elements, features state-of-the-art technology and is designed to enhance the customer experience. A new wireless technology component allows Penske service technicians to integrate various vehicle diagnostic and repair software. To save energy, GE fluorescent light bulbs with electronic ballasts using 50 percent less energy have been installed.
The facility cost approximately $4.1 million to construct, and has three service bays, an automated truck washing bay and a three-lane fuel island with high-speed fuel pumps for fast, efficient service.
Penske previously operated a facility at the same address, tearing down the previous building on a different part of the property.
"Moving to a larger, state-of-the-art facility will enable Penske to better serve the Milwaukee market," said Paul Prang, Senior Vice President - North Central Region, Penske Truck Leasing. "We have also introduced a three-lane fuel island and an automated truck washing bay. That translates to added value for our current and prospective customers. Now, with our expanded capabilities, we may add more associates in the near future as we continue to grow."
