Penske’s Gallick 2010 Recipient of PSU Award

READING, Pa., Aug. 2, 2010 – Joe Gallick, Penske Logistics Senior Vice President – Sales, is the 2010 recipient of The Pennsylvania State University Robert D. Pashek Award for his contributions to the logistics and transportation fields.

The award is named for the late Pashek, associate dean emeritus of The Smeal College of Business at Penn State and a pioneer of the school's logistics studies program, recognized today as one of the premier programs in the country.

Gallick has been a member of the Penn State Center for Supply Chain Research since 2000.

"Joe truly embodies the professionalism, knowledge and compassion of Dr. Pashek," said Dr. Robert Novack, Associate Professor of Business Logistics at the Penn State Smeal College of Business and Associate Director of the school's Center for Supply Chain Research. "His contributions to the industry go beyond what he has accomplished for Penske."

"I am truly honored to receive this recognition from my peers," Gallick stated. "To be even mentioned in the company of past winners of this prestigious award is a humbling experience."

Gallick has served as the Senior Vice President of Sales at Penske Logistics since 1999. He leads strategic business development in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Gallick joined Penske Truck Leasing, the parent company of Penske Logistics, in 1988.

A member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Gallick serves on the editorial board of Logistics Quarterly magazine. He is a resident of Downingtown, Pa., and is a graduate of Montclair State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration.
